Welcome to LXScanner
LXScanner is the Windows application that drives your LutraCAD foot scanners. It captures 3D foot scans and 2D photos, then saves them on your computer or sends them to the LutraCAD cloud for the CAD workflow. LXScanner is a separate application from the LutraCAD designer and the LutraCAD Manager.
It works with the LX Series flatbed scanners (LX500 Compact, LX800 Plus, LXL1800) and other supported scanners. Because LutraCAD is an open system, you can use the scanning hardware that best fits your practice.
Logging in
When you start LXScanner without an active license, the login screen appears.
- Enter your LutraCAD Email address and Password.
- Click Log in, or press Enter in either field.
On success the window shrinks to the compact scan bar and opens the Quick Scan tab.
Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? to open the password reset page in your browser.
If a button seems to do nothing, your license is usually the cause. Log in again to activate a license, then try once more.
The tabs
Once you are logged in, the top of the window shows five tabs:

| Quick Scan | The fast, single foot scan. Scans save straight to your chosen folder. |
| Project | Build a left and right order and save it as a single file on your computer. |
| Cloud | Build a full order and upload it to the LutraCAD cloud. |
| Settings | Choose your scanners, sensitivity and photo options. |
| Account | Log out of the application. |
Some installations run LXScanner as a locked full screen terminal (a kiosk). There the taskbar is hidden and the window cannot be closed. This is intentional for terminal setups and is undone when the terminal is shut down properly.
