1. Base

The Base tab provides essential tools to start creating custom shoe lasts.

3D Scan

Add 3D scan as reference or base, with options for toe box or featherline (sharp edge).

2D Scan

Add 2D scans as design references.

Remove Cast

Removes material around the foot by specified millimeters.

Visibility

Only visible when a 3D scan is added.

Heel Lift

  • Mode:
    • Rotate: Rotates model to the correct heel lift (foot remains unmodified)
    • Correct: Adjusts model to desired heel lift height
  • Height: Required heel lift height in millimeters

Pattern

Select or change shoe last template.

A pop-up will show with the following options:

  • Last Library: Use and modify library models
  • Union Last: Apply library model's toebox and featherline to 3D scan
  • Select 3D scan: Import existing shoe lasts from project
  • Import: Import external shoe last models

Production Method

  • Milling: Last: Export as STL
  • 3D Print: Last: Print in hard material with customizable settings and optional dovetail split
  • 3D Print: Last Shell: Print upside down with tapered support for PU foam filling

Elements

Add components to your design:

  • Elements: Remove material from model
  • Sinks: Add material for pressure relief area

Foil (Test Shoe)

  • Enable/disable test shoe export options (required for printing)
  • Net Stabilization: Create plantar ribs for stable standing:
    • None: No stabilization
    • Short: Ribs to ball of foot
    • Long: Full-length ribs
