LutraCAD TrueScan (Apple - FaceID)

The LutraCAD TrueScan app is a specialized tool designed for scanning the plantar side of the foot. This innovative application leverages advanced camera technology to capture high-quality 3D scans of the foot's bottom surface. These scans are crucial for creating custom orthotics, analyzing foot structure, and providing tailored podiatric care.

Key Feature

The app is specifically optimized for capturing detailed images and measurements of the plantar aspect of the foot, ensuring accurate data for medical and orthotic purposes.

Creating a New Order

  1. On the homepage, click "New order".

  2. Fill in a reference.

  3. You will be directed to the order details page where you can:

    • Add 3D scans
    • Create photos
    • Fill in a prescription form
  4. After completing all necessary information, click "Upload" to send it to the LutraCAD cloud.

Lab Management

If you're outsourcing to a lab, they will receive the order in their Lab Management Software.

You can open the TrueScan app straight from another system — your own software, a web page, or a QR code — and have it create a new order with the customer details already filled in. This uses the lutracad:// link scheme.

When the device opens such a link, the app:

  1. Creates a new order with the reference you passed.
  2. Opens that order on screen. It does not start scanning, so the user can scan first if they want.
  3. Pre-fills the prescription form with the details from the link the moment the form is opened.
lutracad://open?reference=100234&client_name=Jane%20Doe&client_number=55012&birthdate=01-01-1980&location=Sampletown

Everything after ? is a list of name=value pairs, separated by &.

Only reference is required. The shortest possible link contains just the reference:

lutracad://open?reference=100234

Parameters

ParameterRequiredDescriptionExample
referenceYesCustomer reference / order number100234
client_nameNoCustomer nameJane Doe
client_numberNoCustomer number55012
birthdateNoDate of birth, format DD-MM-YYYY01-01-1980
locationNoLocationSampletown
URL encoding

All values must be URL-encoded. For example, a space becomes %20, so Jane Doe becomes Jane%20Doe.

Fields are linked dynamically

Each parameter name is matched to the prescription form field with the exact same name. So client_name fills the form field named client_name, and so on.

This means you are not limited to the parameters above. If your prescription form has extra or custom fields, you do not need an app update: just add a parameter with the same name as that field and it is filled automatically. Parameters that have no matching field are simply ignored.

tip

Only reference is required. Include only the parameters you have — leave the rest out.

Using a QR code

Encode the link in a QR code so staff can open a prepared order by scanning it with the device camera.
