Foot and foambox scan

Foot- and foambox scan captures two things for the same side, one after the other, and sends them as one pair.

  1. The app shows Foot scan with Continue and Cancel.
  2. Continue opens the scan screen. Scan the foot, Finish, Save.
  3. The app shows Foambox, again with Continue and Cancel.
  4. Continue opens the scan screen again. Scan the impression box, Finish, Save.

Both captures belong to the same side, and the order remembers that this side was made in the two-step mode, so LutraCAD knows the two models belong together.

Cancelling takes the foot scan with it

If you cancel at the second step, or that capture fails, the app also removes the first scan of that side. This is intended: half a pair is not usable, so the side is left empty for you to start over.

Scanning an impression box on its own​

Do not use this mode for that; it always expects the foot first. Use the ordinary Foot scan and point it at the impression box. The app scans whatever is inside the cube and does not check that a foot is in there. Scan the left and the right box as two separate scans: + 3D Scan left for the left box, then + 3D Scan right for the right one. No mode captures both boxes in one go.
