The scan screen
This screen is always in English
The scan screen and the preview belong to the scanner part of the app, which is not translated. Back, Scan, Finish, Reset, Save and every message on these two screens stay in English even when the rest of the app is set to Dutch, German, French or Portuguese.
The screen fills the display and shows the live camera picture with a cube drawn in it. Everything inside that cube is what gets scanned.
Placing the cube
| Control | What it does |

| Back (top left) | Leaves the scan screen without scanning. |
| Scan (right on iPad, bottom on iPhone) | Starts the scan. |
| Distance and Size (bottom left) | The distance to the cube and its size, in metres. Distance is hidden when the cube finds its own distance (Gravity mode Yes). |
| Drag up or down | Moves the cube closer or further away. |
| Pinch | Makes the cube bigger or smaller. |
While you scan

| Reset (circular arrow, bottom right) | Throws away what you scanned so far and returns to placing the cube. |
Walk around the foot slowly and keep the foot in view. The ideal scanning distance is 50 to 60 cm.
Messages while scanning
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Tracking Lost! Please Realign or Press Reset. | The app lost its position. Point the camera back at what you already scanned; if it does not recover, tap Reset. |
| Please put the model back in view. | The foot has moved out of the picture. |
| Too close to the scene! Please step back. | You are too close. |
Sensor messages
With a Structure Sensor the screen also shows the battery level of the sensor at the top right, and the state of the sensor in the middle:

| Sensor is initializing. Please wait… | The sensor is waking up. |
| Please charge Structure Sensor. | The sensor is empty or nearly empty. See Charging. |
| This app requires camera access to capture color. Allow access by going to Settings → Privacy → Camera. | The app has no permission for the camera. |
| Calibration required. | The sensor and the camera still need to be calibrated. See Firmware and calibration. |
| Firmware update required. | The sensor needs new firmware. See Firmware and calibration. |
| Structure SDK is blocked. | The scanning licence is not valid. Contact support. |
