1. Base

The Base tab is your starting point for custom orthotic designs, containing all tools needed to begin your project.

Macro

Visibility

Only visible when at least one macro exists in the library.

Apply pre-configured settings to quickly set up designs for specific foot types, production methods, or customer requirements.

Pattern

Select or change your insole shape template. For designs with existing shapes, use this to change the template.

A pop-up offers four options:

  • Full Contact: Total contact device following 3D scan (similar to vacuum molded devices)
  • Prefab 3D: Comparable to off-the-shelf neutral 3D insoles
  • Sensomotoric: Flat base for adding elements to build the device
  • Import: Accept designs from other platforms for milling or 3D printing

Production Method

Choose your manufacturing approach:

Milling

  • EVA: Standard one-sided milling with vacuum table
  • EVA 2 Sided: Two-sided milling (requires clamping system)
  • Mold: Creates millable molds for vacuum forming
  • Shell: Functional orthotics for 2-sided milling

3D Printing

  • Solid: Accommodative insoles with variable hardness regions
  • Shell: Functional orthotics for 3D printing

3D Printer

Visibility

Only visible when a Printing production method is selected.

Select your preferred printer and material combination.

Scans 2D

Visibility

Only visible when project contains 2D scans.

Add 2D scans as design references.

Pressure Measurement

Visibility

Only visible when project contains pressure measurement data.

Add pressure measurements as design references.

Scans 3D

Visibility

Only visible when project contains 3D scans.

Use for full contact insoles or as references with prefab 3D devices.

Align Manual

Adjust incorrectly positioned 3D scans by marking three anatomical landmarks:

  • Metatarsal 1
  • Metatarsal 5
  • Center of heel

The software then automatically aligns the scans.

Elements

Add components to your design:

  • Elements: Added on top of the device
  • Sinks: Remove material to relieve pressure points
