3. Production
The Production tab prepares your insole for a specific production method. The finishing step and the options inside it change with the Production method you selected on the Base tab:
- EVA: milled EVA blocks, single-sided (EVA) or two-sided (EVA 2 sided).
- Mold: a positive mold.
- 3D print: Solid: printed solid insoles.
- Shell: printed shells and milled shells.
Options that do not apply to your selected production method are hidden. Use the visibility matrix below to see which features appear for your production method.
Shared settings
A few controls appear across most production methods:
Heel / edge thickness
Defines the edge thickness created around the device (heel and outline).
Smooth elements
Smooths element edges after merging with the device, so elements blend more naturally into the insole.
Feature visibility by production method
The Finishing step depends on the production method: EVA and EVA 2 sided use EVA, Mold uses Mold, and Solid, Shell, and Mill shell use Printing.
A checkmark means the feature appears for that production method; an empty cell means it does not.
