How-to: Library & Macros

Task-oriented guides for saving reusable resources, creating macros, and editing size tables.

For screen-by-screen reference, see Library & Macros.

How do I save a design, element, or pattern to the library?

There are three ways to add a resource to the library. The library lives under AccountSettingsLibrary, where you can open the editor or import a file.

  1. From a design: select the element or sink in the viewport, then click Add to library in its settings panel and enter a name.
  2. From the library editor: open the item, edit it, and click Save, then enter a name.
  3. From a file: import it.
note

Library resources include patterns (Full contact, Prefab 3D, Sensomotor), elements, sinks, curves, midsole trimlines, logos, and size tables.

How do I create a macro?

You assemble a macro in the macro editor.

  1. Go to Settings, Library, Other, Macros.
  2. Click Add, enter a name, and confirm.
  3. Click Edit on the new macro to open the macro editor.
  4. From the action palette on the right, click the corrections and actions you want. Each is added as a collapsible step; expand a step to set its parameters.
  5. For an engraved Text action, turn on Automatically replace information or pick a placeholder (such as client name or date) so each design gets its own value at run time.
  6. Tick Run on new design so the macro runs automatically when a new design of the matching type is started.
  7. Click Save.
tip

For the full list of actions and placeholders, see Macros.

How do I edit a size table?

  1. Open the size table in the library, or create a new one by entering a name at Enter the sizetable name.
  2. Click Add row to append a size, then fill in the columns. Custom rows are allowed.
  3. Click Save.
note

A scaling value of 0 means standard scaling for that size.

tip

For column definitions and scaling behavior, see Size tables.
